I am working on a job wher the client wants a tapered opening in a wall. For instance the opening may be 5'x5' on the outside but taper back to 4'6"x4'6". Any ideas?? TIA

Is the taper parallel tot he wall itself? If so have you tried using 'Edit Profile' and just sketching the opening in the wall?

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!

I think you are talking about a bevel which in plan view i would do with a solid white filled region with a wedge shape. i think a void might be appropriate for the model. if the wall is thick enough, you may just form the "jambs" with another wall set at an angle but the head/sill would not have the bevel.

I used a sweep and that seemed to give the effect I was looking for. Thanks for the suggestions.
