Hi,

I'm creating a Revit model of a house and have recieved the CAD survey of the site.

The Revit file is created close to the Revit origin (I've not moved the survey point at all).

The CAD survey is created to OS coordinates, and so the units are very large - i.e. the survey is a long way from the AutoCAD origin.

I know there are issues with Revit and large coordinates - but does this affect CAD file?

If the AutoCAD survey is linked select centre to centre will and then moved a new metres will Revit be happy with that.

Does the large coordinate issue only affect Revit, and not CAD file linked into it?

The problem does not affect the CAD file, the problem is the CAD file in Revit.  I like to open CAD files like yours, then select everything and write them out to a new file with a closer origin.   The only problem with this is possible updates.  If those are possible, make sure you pick and origin that you can pick again if you need to.
