Hi, I am a landscape architect using floors for both hardscape and softscape.  It is working well but I find that surface pattern hatches come out skewed because of the various slopes across the floor.

Is there a way to project the surface pattern from a certain angle or similar, so that hatches are consistent across the floor?

Okay the problem has changed.  I have a drafting fill pattern that still skews (on floors with modified subelements) when changing fill pattern settings to 'orient to view'.

This happens in new projects with simple drafting patterns.

Sorry but patterns - both model and hatch - will act strange on warped surfaces.   Patterns work from an origin and a baseline.  We have wished for sometime that we could have patterns that drape over surfaces but not yet.  I don't believe they will in  CAD either.
