Hi All,

Thank you in advance for your help.

I'm making a family for a kitchen island bench, it has two footings one for each short side. They have the visibility parameters to show them when is necessary, for example if the bench is against the wall it needs just one footing on the opposite side of the wall. There is a panel which is between them and I need to control its length based on what footing I will show.

I have to satisfy four conditions:

A - Left Footing

B - Right Footing

C - Left and Right Footings

D - No Footings

I’m able to satisfy two or three of them but I can’t figure out how to resolve all of them.

The formula I made for A,B and D conditions is:

Panel Length = if(or(Left Footing, Right Footing), Bench Length-Footing Thickness, Bench Length)

The formula I made for C and D conditions is:

Panel Length = if(and(Left Footing, Right Footing), Bench Length-(2*Footing Thickness), Bench Length)

Is there someone that can help me to put these formulas together to get just one whole formula?

I have tried few times but I always bumped into mistakes like “comma not expected” or “Inconsistent Units”

Thank you,

Marco

You can have if statements within if statements. Try This

if(and(Left Footing, Right Footing), Bench Length - (2 * Footing Thickness), if(or(Left Footing, Right Footing), Bench Length - Footing Thickness, Bench Length))
