I'm currently working to capture a proposed new office configuration. The furniture vendor Trans America provided the CAD block in which I coverted into a Revit Family. When placing the RFA in plan view it comes over in a 3D orientation and not flattened to complete the placement. I have also tried to place in a 3D view, but the RFA is very unstable. This furniture type is unavavailable on the Revit or sketup platforms. Are there any tips on how I can redo the the CAD-Revit conversion?
The RFA is attached here for analysis.
Thanks,
Ivan Pauline

hi Ivan,
How did you insert this? See image, but if it doesn't look correct in the Revit Family enviroment then next guranteed it won't look right in the project enviroment. Which template file did you use?
Must of the time, i find that CAD files are large, ugly and unenjoyable to use. Revit modelling might be more time consuming but its worth it in the long run imo. Something to consider.
Anyway, see attached .rfa. Hopefully this will work better for you.
Kind Regards,
