Hi All,

while building an parametric window family I am wondering how to create an window/door overview sheet [out off the design project] with all the used windows/doors including front sight, a horizontal and a vertical section of each window mark

including a supporting text that puts all the parameter values ,as defined, in a text block.
like: windowframe sizes, heght, width, etc.

what is the best way, will callouts work for this?

kind regards,
E

note: all the windows are tagged with a mark.

is there no one who needed to create a window overview? do you create window drawings as callouts and add sections, which will be many ofcourse or do you create the drawings from the family files. I suppose that the window schedule needsto be supported by window drawings? how to?

Well, so, legends allow you to create a visual palette or key legend of the components in a project. The objects in a legend cannot be tagged and they are not calculated on the schedule. they can be pre-created and put into your templates. You cant show windows in section but thats what wall sections are for right? you can use detail components an lines to create a 2d section of the windows. I dont think legends will do all you want but most of it anyway.

hi elvis there have been a few threads on legends - do a search maybe. legends are wonderful. to get the rest of your needs, just create a standard schedule, and put it near the legend. we add text titles below each legend item that match the schedule, and that's about it!
