Hello, deadline looming here and cannot get any of the Revit City PAt files to work. I am in 2016 Revit. I get the "No "Model" type patterns found" error. I dont have an issue saving to my desk top and importing. I understand that process. They just do not work.
Do I have to minipulate the text within the download? The attached is what the PAt file looks like when I open it. PLEASE HELP!
Thx

You're looking for a "Model" pattern - not a "Drafting" pattern; Right? AutoCAD PAT files are "Drafting" not "Model". Open PAT file and change the word "Drafting" to "Model". Be forewarned though: this doesn't always work well; depends on the particular pattern. HatchKit add-in works well in those situations.

You will get that error if there is something wrong in the file. This pattern is way too long for anyone of us to go down through line by line. Where did you get it? Maybe your copy is incomplete or corrupted. You may be better off getting a different pattern.

Sorry - I didn't notice your screen shot. Clearly, you got "Model" already. My bad. But, I do think Hatchkit would work here. Good luck.

I downloaded a file of this same name from http://www.revitcity.com/downloads.php?action=view&object_id=11060
It worked beautifully.

I will assume every line is of numbers is for a new line in the pattern. If so then the first number is the angle, 2nd and 3rd numbers are origin for the line and then 4th and 5th are the offset for repeat, and 6th and 7th are pen down pen up(always a negative number)
Problem I see is you dont have any numbers after the 4th one. I am almost 100% certain you need to have a value for the 5th number. 6th and 7th are not required as if you don not give a value it will be a continuous line without breaks.
You can likely fix this by adding a ,0 at the end of every line.

What does “;%SIZE=47,47” do in the posted .pat file?

I didnt even notice that %SIZE line. As far as I can tell there is no %SIZE descriptor in revit .pat files and that too might be giving the error.
