How does one change line types, for instance thickness, color etc... in cross section views, wall types etc... For instance, i have a wall type with plaster lining and tile layer internally, and then corrugated iron externall with some battens and air cell insulation. I want the core face of the wall to show as thick lines, and the tile and plaster lines to show as thin lines. The default line types are wrong and need to be changed, can this be done?

The easiest way I've found is to type in "LW". This should give you a pencil type symbol, then choose the line type from the type selector and click on the lines you want changed. Depending on the amount of object lines you want to change this seems the best way to me at the moment rather then changing the default category. Hope this helps

. There is a great video CADCLIP at the following link that should be of use. It explains several controls of line weights for plans, sections elevations etc. You can play this CADCLIP on line or right click and 'save target as..' to download. http://www.dgcad.com/downloads/CADCLIP-REVIT-ELEV-LINEWEIGHT.wmv www.dgcad.com

thanks for that guys... yes i know about the first option, but this is laborious and seems 'unintelligent' and an inefficient for a supposedly 'intelligent and efficient' drawing tool. I'll watch the clip though and see what that offers.
