Hello, 

Does anyone know how to place 'text' into a window family. I would like an 'F.' to show on elevation for my fixed windows.

Create an annotation family (generic annotation is probably best) and then place a Label. Save this family and then nest it into your window family in the elevation you want to see it in.

Note - The above answer will only work in elevations directly parallel with the window.

Personally, I would create a window tag that reads a property set in the window.   Then you could use the tag all feature.

WWHub's suggestion is preobably the better way to go. I didnt even think of the case where you may have angled walls in elevation and still want the text to show for windows in that wall.
