I'm having trouble creating a presentable framing plan in Revit 8.1. I've used sloped ref planes to slope the steel to the centerline of the building, with W-section girders and open web joists in a beam system. This works fine for displaying in section, but I cannot get the framing plan to cleanup at the joist/girder connections. The joist line (course view) touches the girder line in some cases, but not others. Even within the same beam system connecting to the same girder, some joists will join and others will not. I want them all to graphically stop short of the supporting member, as in a typical framing plan, but bear on it in section.
Any advice or tips for struct'l drafting in Revit would be appreciated. Thanks.
