Hi everyone,I could not find a solution for this problem...I created a window family with a double storey height. At the bottom side it contains a opening panel which in the lower level should be (and it is) visible along with the 2D swing showing the opening direction. In the upper level though, being above the opening, I need not to see anymore the opening frame, glass (it displays it like I was in the lower level) and neither the 2D opening swing. Are there any formulas for displaying elements view height related or maybe some some other solution? Thanks

Click on the element you want to be hidden under certain conditions and then in properties click the box on the right side (circled red in image). I named my parameter 'object' as an example. Then in your parameters for the family type add an equation for when you want the visibility to be on/off. In my example the object is only visible when my other parameter for 'Height' is less than 2000 mm. You can pretty much use any formula for this parameter.
Also it is worth noting that this is an implied IF statement. Because visibility has only the on or off output you do not need to specify what you want to change the same way you would with an IF staement for a dimension.

Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately, I could not make it work.
1. The "Height" parameter for this family is build-in
2. I cannot change it and is directly related to the height of the window.
As an effect to this, rvt shows me the element that need to be invisible in the upper level in both levels, as long as the value in the formula is less than the total height. When the value is higher, it dissappears in both levels. So, no succes here.
What seems obvious is that the formula needs a relationship with the view height or a selection of the level in which I need it visible.

Is this 'Height parameter' that is built in not in the parameters for type. It definitely should be even if it is one that is given based on the family template. If not though I would say make another height parameter that references the same reference planes as the built in one and make it a reporting one. You would have to make the visibility parameter an instance one for this to work

I have seen problems where the plan view in the family has been changed locating it at the higher elevation in order to model the upper components. If you have done that, change the family's plan view settings back to the elevation of the lower area.
