Hi,
Using RVT2015.
I used a floorplan image to trace over to get my building that will be renovated.
I used two different images in the level 1 and level 2 views, and after scaling i drew the walls over the top. Then dragged the walls over on the the level 2 view so that they lined up with the walls on the level 1 view.
I then added floors on level 2.
Now however in an elevation view my two floors are separated by the floor. ie the brick does not go continuously from ground to roof.
How can i rectify this please?(rather not lose the windows that have been drawn already) I tried deleting a wall on level 2 and then changed the Top constraint property of the wall from level 1 to goto level 3(roof) but that didn't ssem to work.
thanks
cc

The best way to do this is to open up your elevations. Select all the windows in the exterior walls at the second floor level. Copy them to clipboard (in the modify tab under clipboard group) or press ctrl + c. Then delete the second floor wall. Make the top constraint underside of roof or whatever the second floor top of wall height is. Then paste the windows back into place using 'paste aligned to same place'. Repeat this process for all exterior walls.

thanks.
that nearly worked. I had to delete the floor as well for the walls to rebuild all the way to the top, but at least the copy process put the windows back.
