Hi All,
Please see image.
I have a lighting fixture which i want to host to the roof which is part of the architects linked file. The rrof is highlighted in yellow marker.
It wont give me the option to host it to the roof in the work plane options. How do i achieve this please?
Thanks
Andy

You can not host elements to linked file elements. If this can be work plane hosted, then add your work plane, name it and host to that. Be aware that if this light element is used in renders and if needs to cut a void in the roof/ceiling, it can not do that. In that case, you may have to copy/monitor the roof/ceiling into your model and turn off the one in the link.
