I have created a family of blocks.  Two of the types look identical in elevation, but I need to be able to tell the difference between them. They are simple blocks (cubes), two of them are the same size, but one is used only at the ends of walls (think of concrete blocks). I need to differentiate between them for counting puposes.  If they look the same, the margin for error goes up huge.  If the end blocks could have an E or something to tell them apart I would be very happy.  Any suggestions on how to do this?

The simplist way is using the invisible lines to add a mark into the family for the end piece.

In the project, you can just have your cursor hovering the family, the invisible line mark will be shown in blue.

If you want a letter to appear for the end block type you can just put text or a label into the family and then have a visibility type parameter and turn it on only for the end block. If you use a label you can have the letter be different for all the types instead of just turning it on or off
