Hi All,

We have a large plan (it's a gas plant) that we have done the foundations for.  The client wants to use their own specific coordinates for the plan and wants us to provide a schedule of the columns (piers really) showing their locations using their coordinates.  For example column #1 - located at N. 250'-3", W. 152'-6".  There are A LOT  of these columns that need to be located in the schedule.  Is there a way to just set the coordinate system in the plan so that the schedule will automatically populate the proper coordinates for each column?  Hope the question makes sense.  Thanks for any advice!!

This can be done and has been discussed before but you must have your project setup correctly to report locations.   I'll try to look through discussions here to see what there is here at RC.

I looked in the app store on the Autodesk site and it appears that there are several apps that will do this.  The first says:

Description

With the standard Autodesk® Revit® family there is no parameter to export X,Y,Z coordinates. The app can add a shared parameter to the Structural Column and Structural Foundation category families and transfer the coordinates to the shared parameter. The coordinates can then be scheduled. Each time you update the location you have to rerun the app to get the updated coordinate.
