Hello all, Im trying to finish up a project and I am having a lot of trouble with using some drawings. I download them from RevitCity and when I try to use them in my drawing I get the symbol for "not allowed" it shows up when i load the component in the quick display feature but when i scroll over to place it in my drawing I get that symbol. Am i missing something small that will allow me to get this done? Thanks

Im using Revit 2016 the model im using I think was form Autocad 2011 but it downloads as a Revit Family file

Spend a little time with your Help and tutorials about placing Revit objects.  Sometimes, you may be in the wrong sequence.   For instance, when you start placing a beam and you load a door.  Othertimes, the object you load may be written to be placed on a wall face but you might be in a plan view.  Sometimes a switch appears on your options bar to switch where the ob ject is placed - face, level, plane.
