Hi,I was looking for information on how BIM is being used by builders.I've worked with Revit for years but up until now, the contractor is mainly building from 2D sheets exported from the BIM model.Sometimes we get specialist MEP companies involved who do the as built MEP Revit model.Has anyone worked for a contractor who actually uses the BIM 3D model either for 4D, 5D, 6D etc applications? If so how are they doing this?If everyone on the Project team is using Revit models then is there all this talk of having to export our revit models to IFC file format?Any advice, leads, links to online articles would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Beau
