Not sure what you mare asking. You do understand that this is a Project, not a family?
Did you examine the railings (RAILINGS!). This was done in an old Revit as multiple railings. A top railing and 3 railing segments for the stair railings.

Yes I know this is a project. How do you host the railings on independent tread families to create the upward spiral effect instead of it being a flat railing profile.

This is just a hosted railing. It is described here in your HELP>

Right I understand how to host a railing based on a stair by sketch however the project useses independent tread families. How are they able to host to those families? Did they just create a stair system without treads for this project?

So what are you saying? You didn't use a stair at all?
Why not use a stair without a tread which you then add? Here is one that just has a center support with one hosted railing.

Correct I did not use a stair at all like in the rvt. file. I like how the treads overlap a bit in the project and am trying to mimick it. I am just not sure how they got the railings to line up with the tread family that they created.

As I said - why not use a stair and your treads?

Here is my stair with added treads. Obviously, my round tread doesn't meet my railing but it makes my point.

I like how I can fully controll the treads so that they are overlapping from plaba bit.

You write: "...I like how I can fully controll the treads so that they are overlapping from plaba bit. ..." Is tghat an objection to what I am suggesting?
My treads are completely independent of the stair - I placed them and I overlapped them.
The tread is a full circle face based family that I placed on the top plane of the supporting stringer.
So I don't understand why you don't try this?
