We currently load families via windows explorer or load family

It would be nice to be able to load families into a project with the insert views from file interface from one .rvt library file housing all of our families. Dragging and dropping from windows explorer is fine however our libraries and families span mulitple folders on our server.

I wanted to load and house all of our families in one library.rvt file and then be able to import in to a project like we do with views.

Hi Herman, have you looked into any add-ins for this?

I have found one that although it is a paid app has some utilities which are free, one of these free tools being a "batch family loader": https://apps.autodesk.com/ACD/en/Detail/Index?id=1090472181312958476&appLang=en&os=Win64

This free add-in also has a utility for mass loading and saving families: https://apps.autodesk.com/ACD/en/Detail/Index?id=1090472181312958476&appLang=en&os=Win64

Hope this helps

-Amy
