This is more of a design/phasing/graphics question. On the plan attached I want to grpahically demonstrate any interior element design changes to the client on the floorplan. How do I want to do this? By having the element (desk/toilet what have you) highlight in a different solid color when moved.

I have edited the family by adding an additional color parameter which manually has to be selected for each family that has location revised on plan. i.e fridge has chrome additoinal color is red.

Does this make sense to revise the family by adding a material instance parameter with a yes/no parameter so when the family is loaded into the plan the user has the ability to click yes or no to edit the graphics?

waiting for wwhub to shred the vernacular within this post in 3....2....

I have created two materials parameters and two yes/no parameters. Do I write the formula in the material or yes/no parameter so I can link one to another.

I would like to have the family loaded in the model and once selected have the ability to select Client or Arch in the properties and have the graphic display change

You do know that you can set over-rides for but cut and projection lines per phase?

Cheers WWhub.  I found this and it worked beautifully in the famliy and then in plan. Thought I would share.

Re: IF/THEN Formula and "Yes/No" ParameterI have three solids that look like a 1, a 2, and a 3, the visibility for each is defined by params V1, V2, and V3. V2=V1 V3=not(V1) Thus, if 1 is visible, 2 is also visible, but 3 is not. If 1 is NOT visible, 2 is also not visible, but 3 is visible.
