So we have a project were a standard window matches what we want to use... all we need to do is duplicate and edit the dimensions.

The window type is an in house Revit Window [Windows Dbl Variable Casement].

However on editing it we notice it brings in additional transomes... so the 1810x910 doesnt acutally display correctly at all... it appears to be a problem with the family and we have now found it permiates through a few of the standard window types.

So as we edit the window somewhere between the 910 and 1210 configuration it includes this new transome... images provided. Note these have not yet been edited they are just out of the box no displaying correctly.

Further... the original out of the box window is doing this on a clean install too... i checked to ensure no one has altered family perameters...

Someone messed up the family’s constraints. When changing the window height, the frame sweep is left behind (broken constraints). Instead of fixing it, it would be easier to download a good version here.

Its probably just a case of when creating the parameter dimensions they reference lines that are not locked to all the edges of elements such as the sweep path and thusly does not pull the frame with it

Update...

We use Revit 2015.

We have just got 2016 so ive installed it on the laptop seperate to the server, because:

a. i can check in isolation and confirm the issue is on the server family.

b. only one of our consultants are on 2016 and i dont want to up convert any files!

So clean install of 2016...

The same thing again???
