We have a custom font style and playing around with this my comments below suggest we have to include the font as a zip file within our etransmit package.

Is this the case for custom fonts in a project model. Our models are set to open on a DV welcome page and while our internal model shows all the text the etransmit on an outside computer does not.

The font style needs to be included in the etransmit package as a zip file and install in the clients/consultants Windows Fonts. Revit should then read the style in the model. I will try this out when we have a machine. The client or consultant has to add the path of the font shx file in Options when they open the model on their system.

Revit does not automatically add the specialized font so we need to direct it to our Font folder on our c:drive and link from there. I just tried this and was denied. See below.

As a quick check you could delete that font style from my c: folder and see what happens in Revit.

The font file only has to be installed with the user's system fonts.   Revit will find it there without any additional work.

BTW - Font files are not shx files - that's CAD.  Revit only uses the TTF fonts.

Using non traditional fonts is a problem with shared Revit files and even PDF files.  And sharing the font may be a legal problem.
