Hello All,

I started by grabbing a truss family that someone else had created (thank you), but I was looking to add in an Energy Heel parameter. I began by creating reference planes for the width and height of the member which is working parametrically through the family type menu. I am however at a loss on how to associate the top chord and bottom chord with the energy heel so they adjust or interact appropriately.

I started to draw the left extrusion for the heel, and left the right side blank for now. ANy suggestions, or should i start from scratch?

-Thanks

Casey

I had a look and the truss as a whole is a bit of a mess. I'd like to see the original and test it before making modifications.

dgcad,

Thanks for your help. Here is the original I downloaded from this site. It appears to have the parametric settings that i would like, but as stated before, not the heel that we usually design.

I seem to only do one revit project a year, so it is difficult to dive into the program and work on editing families. Hopefully this will become a family i can use in all my projects in the future.

THanks for your help.

Casey
