Hi, I'm trying to view a section through a set of stairs by component, to see the joints of the glass panels to the raisers/railing

Does anyone know how to do this? I did view section right through but it doesn't show the joints and stuff

Thanks

It all depends on what you modeled and you didn't show us anything.   We arfe like Revit - we don't have a clue as to what you want.  You have to tell Revit and you have to tell us.

OK -First - Do you know about cuttable families and non-cuttable?

http://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2015/ENU/?guid=GUID-00DC7EDC-996D-4BA0-8263-58E8B1771078

So ballusters are non-cuttable.

So where is the section that you want to show these joints?  I doubt that you can cut it at a tread because the bottom will be sloping....I can't tell what you are doing since some panels end above the stringer and some don't.

Don't count on everything being modeled.  You will probably have to add detail components.

Thanks for replying, I guess I will manually need to add detail components to see the joints of the stairs/railing since it doesn't automatically model it out for me
