I am using a reveal to add wood beveled siding to a wall. I see the reveal in the section view when I am creating the wall structure however the reveal is not showing up in the model when I look at it in 3D. When I click on the wall I applied the reveal to I can see the ghost image of the reveal. I can only see them when I click on the wall.

I was using a sweep to create the bevel siding but when I went to attach the wall to the roof, it exposed the building paper where the sweep butted against the roof where it sloped. I was hoping using reveal would resolve it. Any ideas?

Can you adjust the position of the reveal. It may be buried within the wall completely and just need to be shifted outward to cut through the outer plane.

Reveals will overload your project and they will not work at gable ends.  The best process is to simply use a material then add detail components where required.

If you think you must model, check out my initial post here: http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=17944
