Would I be correct that you can only make a void form in the family itself and not inside the project, right?
For instance if I am in my project, make an in place mass, then try to make a void form from the same create mass button on the mass I just created in the project, that it will not work... so it has to be done only inside the family itself? No way around that I take it?
Also i can create an in place solid in my project but cannot creat an in place void form. I take it that is the way it is?
I browsed through some of the questions on void forms in here but never see the above questions answered so much.
Any help on this would be super appreciated.
Max.

Incorrect. You can create in-place void families but you have to tell them what you want them to cut.

NO! As I said, you can create in-place void families. In-place families are only created in the project. You can create an in-place void family, say in the wall category, and have that cut a wall. A wall is only create in the project. It is system level and never a loaded family.
