Hi folks!

Really simple question here. I've created a new desk by extrusion. The only problem I'm having is that the chairs will show as if they were above it when I'm in a floor plan. Any ideas?

Cheers,

Enzo

Are the chairs actually above it?  Do the chairs have detail lines that are being used to show in plan?

The problem is your families.

Is your table's solids set to show in plan views or only symbollic lines?

Same question for chair.

If both family's model elements are set to show in plan view then cut a section and check out heights.

The chairs are hosted on the floor, and touching it, so it isn't actually above the table. I didn't model the chairs (Herman Miller), so I'm guessing the problem isn't there.

WWHub, it might be set to show only symbolic lines, but how can I check that?

You need to open the family, go into the "floor plan" view in the model and see if there are symbolic lines.
