Heres a question, I have a project file that i got from a client and it has many families in it, like wall types, doors, windows, fixtures. This client is our on go client and do alot other projects for them. I need to be able to export/ save the families inside this file to a subfolder, to be able to insert into a new project. How can you do that, with out doing them individualy? can you do this globally? Thanks everyone, James

File>Save to Library>Family Should work just fine for you. Tom

I just tied File>save to library>Family All it does is save one at a time. I have to many of them to do. Is there a way to save the Family group as a whole? Here is a small list of the families that i need in another project. Thanks for the info, James, P.S. i am using revit 8.1

Quickest method would be to use the project browser on the left, scroll down to your families section. Pick each family you'd with to save out (unfortunately one at a time) and right click and pick save family. This should be relatively quick to do a list of families.
