Looking for opinion not critics.

New firm new drafting standards in Revit I am not sure of nor heard of

Instead of creating a stacked wall assemblies or multiple wall types hosted by levels our standard it to make all walls curtain walls and swap out individual panels as wall types delete mullions wher not required and voila. This seems screwy to me but oh well.

Another odd protocol is not to use reveals in walls instead they have created a furniture system family component that places a detail component extrusion on the wall. You have to drag the extrusion along the wall in the model once placed to the desired length and then in section mask out the extrusion and create if required an inset reveal. ?????

I am not doing these methods nor have I heard of this at any other firm just throwing it out there for opinion. I don't agree with either as they seem tedious and extra work.

If you are working for a panelized wall company, the first item - curtain wall use - might be used as a work-around.   Otherwise I have never heard of anybody doing this for normal walls.

The furnature family use just doesn't make any sense except maybe they are trying to solve problems caused by their CW use.
