I have recently had to import a lot of CAD details into my revit project.  I would like to now convert the lines and regions to the ones I have created and organized in Revit.  I hate seeing hundreds of linetypes/regions when I open the menu.  However I don't want to go to every individual view, select them, and change them to what I want them to be. The select all in project would be ideal for this but it doesn't seem to be an option as it is greyed out.  Does anyone know of a more effiecent way of doing this?

Sorry - after the fact cleanup is a poor process issue, there is no easy way to do this.  That is why we insist that our users clean up all CAD in a working file before importing and exploding in Revit.   To clean up afterwards, you will have to:

  1. Change all imported linetypes to a standard
  2. Delete the unwanted linetypes, ONE AT A TIME (can't select multiples)
  3. Change each imported fill pattern
  4. Delete the unwanted linetypes, ONE AT A TIME (can't select multiples)
  5. Change each imported text style
  6. Delete the unwanted text styles, ONE AT A TIME (can't select multiples)

Have you ever deleted a couple of hundred fill patterns, one at a time?   I have!  If you say why?... Then you will find out eventually.

We are working at writing a Dynamo program to clean these up for us in a working file.
