I have another silly question over basic stuff: is there a way that anyone knows of to reset section mark symbols back to the extent of the section? I'm hoping there is simple way to do this to aid consistent composition across drawings?

I dont think so. If you create new room elevations it sets view boundary to wall edges, you can then copy across 2D content from original views.

Section mark limits are purposly view independent to allow for minor modifications.
They only means of setting them all the same is to create a new view and delete the old one.

That's what I thought too. Minus one for composition. Thanks for confirming.
