I'm working with a custom curtain wall panel that has a shadow box on one lite and below the sill. In the family, when the view range is above the sill the shadow box does not display, which is correct. However, when in the project, this element is still visible somehow. There are no other visibility parameters ovveriding this geometry so I'm not sure why Revit is breaking the rules here. See attached images of family and project - both have identical cut plans but project is not behaving correctly. What's more is if the offending wall is copied into a new project the display is correct. How can I fix this Revit bug without remodelling?

You say images of project and family but I think I see only project images.   Not sure what a shadow box is.   Another view would help explain.

I don't understand the construction of the family.

Image file names are displayed when viewedin browser. First image = Family, Second image = Project, Third Image = Fresh project. I've tried recreating in the offending project with a new curtain wall it it displays correctly. The offending curtain appears to be corrupted somehow. Remodelling this curtainwall is only a last resort.

Those are strange panels.

So these panels are really two panels wide and have a built in frame all in one panel family- correct?

And the right side "panel" has no "shadow box" - correct - and the shadox box is represented by that line?  And my sketch is correct?

If this is rally true, then there could never be a line here.  Or there are other thigs you are not sharing.  Is this a staggered design?  Is this really one CW?

Glad you like the design! The intent is that these will be prefabricated single units with split panels where there is a shadow box below the sill and a large full lite shadow box to one side. The curtain wall just has a glitch that doesn't display the geometry correctly unless it is remodelled. It looks like I have to in order to get around this Revit goof unless you know another way?

I would have done it with 3 seperate panels with appropriate mullions.  Or as a window family.

I don't have a clue as to why your problem exists but I suspect it is still a process error.

I couldn't repeat it either. I think the original object was somehow corrupted since I was able to resolve by copying out the object into a new project, deleting the original, and pasting back. Process error? Maybe. But if you know one where the same family in the same view can have two different represetations of the the cut geometry at the same time I'd be interested to know!
