Continuing with my endeavor working with pattern based curtain panels, I'm encountering yet another flaky thing: I create a divided surface and then make a pattern based system from it. So far so good. I try to rotate the components to be in the correct orientation and then I get an error where Revit deletes two components in a seemingly random way. The panels make up a gradually sloping curved surface and I would understand that I may encounter some kind of limit in the component as a result, but the resulting error does not have similar (if any) logic. The panels that are deleted are before and after the limitation I would expect. I can't exactly share the condition here since it's part of an in place mass, but I can share the pattern family. If anyone has any insight on why Revit is being a bad little doggy here I would appreciate it!

Okay...I replicated the issue in a new file v2015. Here's the whole condition and Revit behaving badly.

If there are adminstrators looking at this, can we up the file file size for file posting? 2mb is paltry for being able to upload even a blank project file with nothing in it!

To upload a project, restrict your file to just the few elements in question, then use the purge and do it at least 3 times or until it says 0 items found.   You must understand that elements contain other elements.   For example, until you purge the wall type, all materials used in that wall will not purge.  Items in groups may be nested 3-4 purges deep.
