Revit 2016: We have a client with lots and lots of strict CAD standards for deliverables.  One of the problems I'm running into is that eachfamily and symbol is exporting as CAD Blocks wherein each instance (even if the types are the same) is a separate Block, with a different name.

For example, if I have two instances of a "DoorInt_F_HM_3070" family type, in CAD I get two separate Block References named something like: "DoorInt_F_HM_3070-1442314-GROUND FLOOR" and "DoorInt_F_HM_3070-1442315-GROUND FLOOR".

I would also like to not have to go in and rename all the blocks to match their standards.

I can't seem to find where I can change export settings for Blocks.

FYI, I've looked under Export> Options> Export Setup DWG/DXF Export Setup.  No luck.  The layers are ready to roll.

This project will be a complete breeze in Revit, but if we have to spend a bunch of time if CAD fixing everything to their standards it's really not worth it.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You might be able to run a clean-up routine in CAD.  At one time several years ago, I could have written a script file to do this.  The problem is what attributes does your client want these blocks to have.  That is where I have seen a problem.  You might be able to swap for a stock block but identifying the attributes required would be tricky.

Whew!  That's a lot more heady than I was hoping for.  Thanks for the input.
