Have noticed that if i turn shadows on for elevations and then plot them to a pdf format, the plot is screened. By simiply removing the shadow feature, the plot in not screened. In the Revit screen all is normal. Any suggestions?

From YOUR HELP:
Revit automatically uses raster processing for a view if any of the following are true:
- The view uses shading, shadows, gradients, or sketchy lines.
- The view is rendered.
- The view contains an image.
- The view uses point clouds.
- The view contains a decal.
You are probably seeing a raster print - not a screened print.
