hello all,

I'm having an issue w/ a wall sweep fam that has a nested 2d detail profile built into it.

The detail shows up well when a section cuts through the wall hosting the wall sweep, if the wall is straight

and perpendicular to the section cut.....however the 2d detail nested in the wall sweep does not show up when

it is hosted by a curved wall being cut by a section.....wall cut shows but not the detail in the wall sweep....it only

shows the profile perimeter, and blank on the inside, where the detail should show.

any ideas?....it seems to work fine on straight cut walls....

thanks!

Sorry but I don't believe this will ever work on a curve.  Revit seems to place any embedded details at a midpoint of the path and normal to that point.   Since this is a 2D detail, it will only show in a view normal to that location.   Almost no way for you to find that point.

yea....I was afraid you were going to say that Smile

I figured it had to do w/ the normal of the sweep/wall not being perfectly perpendicular to the section cut, but

I wanted to confirm that....make sure i wasnt doing something wrong....

wish there werent so many limitations when it comes to working w/ curved walls....there seem to be a number

of odities I run into when doing that.

anyway,

thanks for the reply!
