I have downloded bays from the revit site. They all have a top and bottom attaced and therefore cannot be placed into an angled wall. The bay has two wings at 35degrees and a wide middle section.
Any help graefully received

By the sounds of things the window doesn't really suit what you require. To use that window i would continue the main wall straight through and then just add lower walls for the bay section that go from floor to sill height and head to top level. The better option would be to create a bay window that will cut all walls.
To do this the opening cut in the family would need to be deleted and replaced with a void to cut the wall. But i really think this would be best done starting from scratch as i can see it causing problems... If i get some free time i might create one and post it.
Cheers,
Chris.

Thank you Myspot.
I had already experimented and done what you sugest in the first scenario. I am ne to Revit and need to learn how to create families yet.
Many thanks and if you do create one I would be most grateful

Mr Spot
I have figured (with the help of Chris at Quadra Solutions) the bay window issue out without creating another family.
Basically you insert a bay window and then in elevation view create an openning below the window before inserting the angled walls beneath the bay. Obviously this does not get rid of the wide base to the window but it is a start.
