Hi,

I've created an Architectural model which has suspended ceilings in it, and I want to link in the services model (created by someone else) to show the ceiling mounted services in the my ceiling plans.

This works fine, but all of the annotation which comes with the services model (say for smoke detectors or cameras etc) is quite large on the ceiling plan and I would like to reduce it.

I can change the view scale which does this, but it affects everything architectural too.

Is there any way I can only change the scale of the services model elements or make the annotation that comes with their families smaller?

Thanks.

No, the size is based in the families from the linked model.  They would need to change the size in their model.

And if they were to change the size in their model, then they would have to amend the annotation in each of their families - right?

That would be a lot of work...

Is this really annotation or are they using symbols?  I suspect you are really talking about symbols.

Sorry, yes, their models contain symbols...

Does that change anything?

Symbols and text do not change print size with view scale.  Only model elements change scale.  So if they have a model element with model text then it would scale ok but I suspected you were talking about symbols.

If they have model elements with embedded symbols, just turn off their symbols.
