I need some help.

I would like to hire someone do so a quick job for me.

I need a detailed roof plan made in 3d with detailed build specs for a complicated Multi hipped roof,

This house us being built right now and the builders are having a hard time getting the angle cuts right and the bird's mouth is wrong in most places..

Bottom line is the builders are out of their league and need as much details as I can provide to help get the roof done.

This is STICK BUILT.  I have autocad prints, which are poorly done.  I also have the engineering from the LVL company I can share.

I do not need to whole hose in revit.. just the roof and top plates.

If there is an addon that can handle this I would also be interested.. thanks.

Anyone interested?  I can pay via paypal or your preferred method..

I have no time to do this myself.

-Ken

Just curiosity. Why don't you just use card board, any on-site scrap materials to build a mock-up at the site to show the builder?

That is so sad to see this field so depend on "DRAWINGS".

Lots of beatiful structures were built without any drawings.

Ken: are you saying that you have roofers on-site now? And these guys can't cut bird's mouths or angles correctly?

Perhaps it's not drawings you need, so much as new roofers. Just saying...

Still, my guess is that an as-built is needed right now. You would probably be better to work with a local drafter in this case.

 Where are you located?

I agree with you.. but we are in a contract and they have to get it done.. so I am stuck.

I am in Rhode Island.   Having detail drawings will help this situitation.  I am looking for someone to build the stick roof as the plans call for in revit and then be able to build what they need for drawings.. etc.. reference points ..whatever it takes.. I just need a roof before we have feet of snow.. we have been luck thus far.. and they are over a month behind.. I am trying to get some help for them...

Anyone willing to build me a model with a proper framed roof?

This is an interesting thread. I suppose you’ve already pulled building permits. I don’t understand what a model or “typical” details are going to do for you at this point? A traditional framed roof requires a lot of field measurements to build correctly. That’s the contractor’s job.
