How difficult is the Revit professional certification exam? I am learning Revit now; and planning to take the exam in 2 months. Any recommended study materials?

Yes, spend 10 years building actual buildings using Revit.
Revit is too complex to quickly learn. You need to repetitively apply all of Revit's tools to real life projects to hammer a complete understanding home.

I actually don't put a ton of stock in the autodesk certification REVIT exam. REVIT is SO broad it's near impposible to measure the skill level in my opinion. I have taken the online test many times and some of the questions are very arbitrary and would hardly ever be used in the work place and yet other more fundamental tasks are ignored completely. There is not near enough vetting on Visibility Control for example so you could be certified and easily get stumped on visibility issues which are absoluutely paramount.
Now, with AutoCAD is was pretty straight forward because everyone uses AutoCAD pretty much the same way but REVIT can be used in many different ways and depends highly on the discipline.
The REVIT certification exam does show some level of reference but it doesn't carry alot of water.
Just my 2 cents . . . .

Just don't pay to take it. There's a ton of free opportunities throughout the year (if you sign up) to take it for free. Personally, whether or not you're certified in Revit has no bearing whatsoever as to whether or not I would hire you. I will still have to "train" Revit certified people to fit protocols and BIM Standards. The certification just means you've open the program about 100 times.
That being said, its not a difficult exam. I have high schoolers and college interns passing it.
