Ive made a opening to punch into the wall. we were using the wall opening tool first. but it majorly slows down the model. opening components seem to be faster. but the problem is, I place the op[ening in the wall. ie. to create a balcony condition (see picture) and the component opening hides the stuff behind it instead of revealing it, does that make sense? The opening is just hiding it graphically. the 3D is shown proper, and you can see the family open on the right showing the cut. I dont understand whats happening. its an opening that hides whats behind it?
ps. ive included the wall and window in a small file. please tell me what is happening lol.

In the opening family, select it and make sure Transparent in: Elevation is checked on the options bar.
