How can I add the size of a Window on a floor plan automatically? Say I add a 5'-0"x3'-6" window and I want to have a tag, label or note that automatically displays 5036 on floor plan adjacent to the window.

Either add a shared parameter to the window family or assign one in the project to windows and create a tag to read that parameter.  You will have to fill it in but if it's type based, all windows of that type will tag the same.

I wonder how to do that. When I try to add a shared parameter to a Window family, it asks me for a txt file. Where do I get one?

hi , you need to see an excellent little training video by daryl at cadclips.

from memory it was a revit 8 video titled CADCLIP-WINDOW-AND-DOOR-TAGS.

this explains it all mate.
