I am adjusting this void extrusion. added a few dims to lock the proposions. But as I try to add another, its decided that its only going to let me draw "greyed out" dims. as if Im not in the extrusion working on it. you can see my dimension being pulled out but not solid black (ie, while Im literally drawing it). yet right there are the solid black dims laughing at me. lol. I have absolutely no idea whats going on. also I can set the dimension, and it stays grey and then becomes non selectable.

Dimension is picking up the line behind the magenta line. This is an edge line of the geometry that you’re cutting. Hover over the magenta line and tab (once –should do the trick, unless there is more geometry behind it).

During the process of placing dims, they are grey even though magenta line is selected, but they should turn black when you exist dim tool. If they stay grey, that means you’re not picking magenta line, but the line behind it. Hope it make sense.
