Hello,

I have an exterior wall that I would like to edit so that the framing goes up to the bottom of the ceiling joists, but the exterior brick ends at the bottom of the soffit. See "wall section."

You can see in "unlocked" that I have unlocked the top of the brick layer, but the blue grips that should appear for moving the top of the wall layers don't appear- I still only have one Sad

This wall was once attached to the roof, but I detached it. Do I have to delete it and re-draw it in order to modify the layers?

I made a new wall with the same wall type, and I'm still not getting the grips, so it seems that the issue is not that the wall was once attached to the roof.

Kitty

I believe you are on the right track - perhaps the stud frame is also unlocked?

That's true, the stud layer was also unlocked! It didn't let me simply lock the stud layer, though. I ended up locking the brick layer and unlocking everything else, which was counterintuitive, but it worked.

Sorry, I should have said that in my original post. I'm using Revit LT 2014.

if you copy that wall into a blank project file (fully purge everything else out) and upload the file here - I will have a quick look at it tonight.

I only have revit 2015 on my work PC, but still have Revit 2014 on my home PC

If i can resolve the problem for you I will then repost the file back to you.

cheers
