Has anyone else found this issue?  I came back to a dimensioned plan after making some design revisions, and parts of the dimension strings don't show.  I've attached an image that shows the string that's missing.  I can only explain it as a glitch.  If I make a new string, everything shows up.  Anyone have some insight?

It may help to know what kind of revisions you might have made to that wall (or whatever the witness/dimension line is attached to). The only times I notice this happening is when the object/line that the witness line is attached to is hidden. For example, if the witness line is attached to a reference line. If you hide the reference line then the respective dimension will no longer be shown until the reference line is unhidden.

Your problem is probably a process problem.  When you dimension, Revit tells you what you are dimensioning to/from in the lower left corner.  If you have two objects with coincidence lines, you may be picking the wrong object.   If that object is later turned off, moves above the cut plane or hidden, then that portion of the dimension will go away.  You can see if that was the problem by removing your edit and turning on all categories.
