Working in a group on the central model we need to get a permit to edit a workset/ element from each other from time to time.( I just started using Revit recently, hope i use right terminology)0)
When the computer recieve a request, it doesn't give any warning, like pop up message or sound. Is there any settings to change to get a pop up message?

when a request is recieved there is no visual or audiable notification at this time
i sure it is on the wishlist

What good is asking for permit to edit a workset if no one is going to see it? With out having to manualy open the request box to see if someone is requesting.

yah...good thing the desks in our office are close together so we can just yell back and forth if we need a request...this is definitely on the wish list!

I requested that warning message to our Revit provider. The answer was that most people used MSN between each other, and then they could ask for permit by msn....!! The revit provider has put it in to his wish list until next time he has a meeting with the Autodesk people.

I got a reply back from autodesk Revit building product manager,
They have recieved this query often and are looking into ways to resolve it.
