I'm using revut 2015.  The attached image shows two issues.  The first is that I'm having trouble putting a down light in a soffit.  On two soffits, the downright go in fine, but on the other two soffits, the down lights go in rotated as shown.  Also, I have easily trimmed the rafters with respect to the second red circle and now I need to trim the floor joists.  The rafters are extrusions and they were easy to trim to fit the angled gypsum board ceiling.  The floor joists currently extend too far (will be inside the living space). I know the carpenters won't build it as shown, but I want to show it properly.  Anyone can help?

Thanks in advance.

Bob

Your light must be a face based family.   Be careful to pick the correct face when placing.  Use your tab key.  Sometimes it helps to isolate the host and your light family category before trying to place it.
