I've taken over a project that has some rogue autocad files imported instead of linked. I've got it pretty well cleaned up except for a group of rilled regions. I can go to the filled region family and right click "select all instances in project" but then what? I know it's supposed to highlight the object when you open a view, but I've got LOTS of drafting views in this project. Is there any way to go to the view that it is used? Or even find out what view that might be?
Thanks! Paul

EDIT:
I found a way that worked pretty slick. Here is a link to what I found:

So the CAD files were exploded - not simply imported as you stated.
To clean up crap like this,
- I create a filled region with this definition,
- select all instances in the model,
- swap these to the correct standard filled region
- the when finished fixing all of the different filled regions run purged unused
- uncheck all
- check the filled regions
- then one at a time, you have to delete the hatch pattern << A REAL PAIN!
This is a better process than individually opening each view.

Thanks for the reply. Because I didn't work on this originally, I didn't want to just blindly change anything than has been imported. (otherwise I would just force delete the family type). So I really wanted to see the instance and determine if it was important or not.
The fella before me didn't know Revit very well so there was a LOT of drawing in ACAD and then bringing those 2d elements into his model. Boggles my mind.
