Is there a way to remove the banked angle from a curved sloping pad Revit 2012? I have tried moving the slope line all over but it seems like it wants to put a bankded angle on any curve.  Normally I would just just improvise these types of sections but I have to show a design review board the Revit Model and cut sections to show cut and fill at any point along the driveway. These sections will have to be cut on the fly everything has to be perfect.

When you have a sloping pad on a hillside and it is curved the pad does not stay flat it makes a banked serface.  Attached are some SS for your viewing.

The pad is built as you have defined it.  Show us that process.... your sketch.

I did not define a cross slope it just is there if there is a way to change the cross slope to be 0 please tell me how to do it. But by the sound of your responces I am guessing you do not use curving sloping pads very offten if at all.

My process is draw the curve place top and bottom line and place the slope arrow between the two.  I have tried selecting the curve both sides with the slope arrow.  I have tried selecting the curve with an offset. I have also tried drawing the arrow in at all kind of differenet placements.

The pad is exactly as you defined it.  The curved 'top' sketch line defines an elevation that causes your 'bank'.  That needs to be a straight line if you want a flat slope.

Think about it.  If you cut a section across your definition, the middle of the section can not be the same elevation as the two ends.

BTW - I don't know why you are using a pad here.... Perhaps there is a better way ikf you tell us what you are trying to show.

See that is what you are not understanding my top line and bottom line are parallel it is my side lines that are curved.  If I cut a section thru the curve or not curved directions they are both sloped. Do it for yourself and you will see :-/ the problem is likely caused by a coding issue or in the way the sloping pad caulates the geometry.

The pads allow me to cut a shear cut into the hillside in my exprence the pad does what I need the best.  Unless I get a subscrition and get the site tools i am not sure there is a better way... I am not even sure the site tools would make a better way. The only other way to produce the graded areas on the site plan is to maually ajust the contours and even then you can not get the same shear cut a pad gives you.

For now my solution was to use really small segments 1' on the inside of the curve and it seems to override the gemotry glich for now.

This is one of those problems that is like a sloping curved wall that follows the grade of a driveway up a hill they still have not gotten a solution for that.  I use ramps with the thickness set at the wall height  I want.
