When I export a COBie file for my projects i get a few doors (they seem to be tied to one family) that show up that i cant seem to schedule or truely select in the project.

They are exported with an external identifier ID and by using this i can select them in the project (using selection by ID).  However they still do not show up in shedule and i cannot see them in any view even though they are selected.  Does this family some how two doors in it.  

Has anyone had any similar experience?

The only workaround i have is selecting them by entering the IDs and unchecking them from the COBie export.  I would rather them not actually exist in the project.

It may come down to the habit that users have of making things that are kind of like doors but not actually doors out of a door family / category.

Purge your model of everything to see if any are removed, then open a 3D view and only turn on the door category. Audit the view by selecting all doors and seeing if the total number add up to the number of doors you actually use. If there are extras then go through and select all of the same familiys and hide them family by family until all that is left is the rigue doors.

Staff will make roller shutters, curtain wall doors, hatches, and all sorts of things out of doors.
